The Croft provides an excellent base from which to explore the region which has tourist attractions including The Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors, Bowes Museum, Rockcliffe Hall, Shildon Railway Museum, High Force and The North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The Croft Hotel is prominently situated next to the Parish Church in the pretty village Croft on Tees, which lies on the banks of the River forming the border between the counties of North Yorkshire and County Durham.
Kiplin Hall and Georgian Theatre Royal are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include Paddock Farm Nursery & Water Gardens and Darlington Railway Centre and Museum.
Just a few miles north is Darlington, a thriving town, whilst nearby are some notable and sought after towns, such as Northallerton, Yarm, Richmond and Barnard Castle.
