Off the NH30, this stately boutique hotel set in a 19th century palace is formerly the residence of the Kanker royal family. It’s an 11 minute walk from the Doodh River and a 20 minute walk from the Hanuman Temple. Parking and breakfast (served in the dining room) are complimentary. Quarters range from 6 posh palace rooms to 4 laid back cottages. There’s also a large garden and dining on request. Palace rooms feature ornate wooden furniture and sitting areas; some have wood beamed ceilings, 4 poster beds and/or terraces. Check out time: 11:00 AM. The cottages offer kitchens and gardens
