all have wash buckets (no showers), tables and chairs, and covered porches with rocking chairs. there's no electricity. packed lunches can also be arranged. in a wooded area accessed only by hiking trails, this rustic 1920s lodge lies just below the summit of mount le conte inside the great smoky mountains national park. breakfast and dinner are free for hut guests and served in a simple dining room. it's 6 miles from us-441 s and 10 miles from the shops and restaurants in the center of gatlinburg. the hand-built log huts offer heaters, lanterns, and bunk beds with linens and wool blankets. the 2- and 3-bedroom cabins sleep up to 13 guests.
