Our daughters were christened in the Godshill church.
Our new Granddaughter is also to be christened in the same Godshill church.
The draw of the island has always been in her family and she used to come to Shanklin every year as a child on the family holiday.
Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary and Sandown Pier are also worth visiting.
Carol has also owned her own Public House and previously lived on the island for 10 years in Godshill.
Cliff Lift and Shanklin and Sandown Golf Club are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Seaclose Park and Rylstone Gardens.
Since taking over they have maintained their rating of three stars and gained a silver award from the tourist board.
