It was a Commongate for horse and coaches travelling into the City of London. The Commongate Hotel was originally a pub and one of London's last standing inns before entering the City of London. The Hotel has adopted this name and we are proud to be carrying on the tradition of being called Commongate Hotel. The Commongate Hotel is located in Walthamstow, a neighborhood in London.
