Self Catering Accommadation The old barn at Trymwood sits at the side of the Grade 2 listed house in the historic village of Westbury on Trym just 3 miles from the centre of Bristol. The house is reported to be the oldest in the village. The barn was originally part of the farm buildings, later becoming a scullery for the main house, and evidence of the old range and bread oven are still in place as is the meat salting sink. The farm appears to have been involved in milling cider making and there was quarrying further up the valley. The Trymwood farm land was dispersed over the years as Bristol grew, although the house still retains a large garden to the rear. The land surrounding the property is now privately owned and Bristol City Council manage Badock Wood which is a local amenity at the head of the valley.
